In 1988, he ranked 3rd in the Technician Officer exam held by the Istanbul Anatolian Side Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and started his career as a PTT Technician.
In 1995, after the separation of Turkish Telecom (Türk Telekom A.Ş.) from PTT, he passed the internal promotion exam and became a Senior Technician.
